Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and creating a welcoming environment for patients. Your expertise in clinical procedures, patient management, and infection control will help us maintain the highest standards of dental care. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary dental instruments, equipment, and materials while adhering to sterilization and infection prevention protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort during procedures. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Support patient care by providing clear instructions, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and sterilization procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies (HIPAA compliance). Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is required; additional certifications in medical documentation or radiography are advantageous. $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
