This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to utilize your medical office experience, administrative skills, and passion for patient service. You will be the friendly face and efficient organizer that keeps our clinic running seamlessly while providing compassionate care to our patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and coordinate patient flow using dental practice management software. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing supplies as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Handle medical billing and collections efficiently, including insurance verification, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and processing payments in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage front desk duties including answering phones with professional etiquette, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries promptly. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness; ensure all clinical records adhere to confidentiality policies and health information management standards. Support administrative tasks such as filing medical records, data entry using Microsoft Office tools, and maintaining clinic supplies. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred. Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, and medical billing practices. Competency in CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping. Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key per minute is desirable. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies; previous clinic or dental office experience is highly valued. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, medical records management, and appointment scheduling.
