Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies using aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Record vital signs and medical history, including medical imaging and documentation of medical records. Support chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health practices using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical coding, and updating medical documentation. Operate 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Requirements Prior experience in a dental clinic setting and familiarity with dental assisting duties are essential. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and infection control protocols. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; experience working with pediatric patients is desirable. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
