Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including dental X-ray and 3D scanner imaging, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Manage patient records using patient management software such as Dentrix, ensuring accurate medical documentation and medical records maintenance Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and facilitate smooth clinical workflows follow surgical procedure protocols Support patient management by providing clear explanations of procedures using dental terminology and ensuring comfort throughout visits Maintain infection control standards through aseptic technique, dental equipment sterilization, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention and control expertise guidelines Skills Proficiency with Dentrix for efficient record keeping and appointment scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management,periodontal assisting,and surgical procedures Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for enhanced efficiency during procedures Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools confidently Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Knowledge of oral surgery protocols, prosthodontics techniques, and general dentistry workflows This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in a supportive environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.
