Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning correctly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy. Support administrative tasks including patient management software updates, appointment scheduling, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments efficiently and following infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical documentation and records. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with dental equipment operation, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during patient care. Ability to perform X-ray procedures including dental X-ray and panoramic imaging while maintaining radiation safety standards. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery assistance is a plus. Excellent communication skills for explaining treatments clearly to patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism in line with clinical confidentiality policies.
