A dedicated individual with great patient care. If you are bilingual this is a plus. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining efficient clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to excellence in dental health. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for patient procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists chairside during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing necessary instruments and materials promptly Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to radiation safety protocols Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, treatment notes, and medical documentation Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions, fostering a positive patient experience and promoting ongoing oral health management Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by securely handling sensitive medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental team with administrative tasks including patient management software updates, scheduling appointments, and coordinating patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient record keeping and appointment scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment to assist effectively during procedures Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization techniques, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures to support diverse patient needs Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages and coordinate seamlessly with the dental team Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise combined with knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies to uphold the highest standards of safety and privacy Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
