Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists chairside during various treatments, including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to infection control protocols Manage patient records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with medical documentation and medical coding when necessary Maintain a clean and sterile environment through aseptic techniques and infection control standards Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records Skills Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for accurate documentation and record keeping Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or similar specialties Ability to operate dental X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic setting Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, and coordinating with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
