Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
  • Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical records
  • Assist with medical documentation, including maintaining accurate patient charts and records
  • Utilize CAD software for designing dental restorations
Requirements:
  • Dental assistant certification or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
  • Familiarity with dental coding and billing procedures
  • Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar electronic dental record systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
