Across the dental industry, many assistants are experiencing reduced hours, limited raises, and few opportunities to advance. At Kokua Smiles , we've chosen a different path. We are a privately owned, locally led, and steadily growing group of dental offices on Oahu. We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and leadership-minded Lead Dental Assistant to join our team at Wai'alae Dental Care . This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in excellent patient care, leads by example, and can help maintain an organized, efficient, and supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example and help create a positive, productive clinical environment Support, train, and mentor Dental Assistants Help coordinate daily clinical workflow and ensure the schedule runs efficiently Assist doctors during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control standards Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory management Help ensure clinical protocols and office standards are consistently followed Communicate professionally with doctors, team members, and patients Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care Identify concerns, take initiative, and help the team find solutions Support the practice's goals for patient care, productivity, and continued growth
What We Need From You:

We are looking for a Lead Dental Assistant who: Has strong dental assisting experience and clinical knowledge Demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and sound judgment Is dependable and takes ownership of their responsibilities Can provide direction and constructive support to other team members Communicates clearly and respectfully Remains organized and composed in a fast-paced environment Is comfortable receiving feedback and holding others accountable Is committed to continued learning and improvement Has scheduling flexibility based on the needs of the practice Takes pride in creating an excellent experience for every patient
