Dental Assistant/Treatment coordinator
Job Description
Zirker Family Dentistry We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join our dental team as a Treatment Coordinator / Dental Assistant. This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working with patients and being part of the business side of dentistry, while still having the opportunity to utilize their dental assisting skills. About the Position This position will be primarily front office focused, working directly with patients to coordinate treatment, discuss financial arrangements, manage insurance, and help keep our schedule productive and organized. Because we value teamwork and flexibility, this individual will also have the opportunity to step into the clinical area and assist our doctors when needed. Responsibilities Include
- Presenting and coordinating patient treatment plans
- Discussing treatment costs and financial options with patients
- Collecting patient payments
- Dental insurance verification and benefit breakdowns
- Submitting and following up on dental insurance claims
- Working outstanding and denied insurance claims
- Posting and processing insurance payments, along with tracking all ins claims
- Patient billing and account follow-up
- Scheduling and maintaining a productive doctor schedule
- Following up with patients on unscheduled treatment
- Answering phones and assisting patients at the front desk
- Providing excellent patient communication and customer service
- Assisting the doctors clinically when needed
- Helping with overall office organization and daily team responsibilities Desired Characteristics

OUTSTANDING
customer service Preferred Experience Dental experience is strongly preferred . Experience in the following areas is especially appreciated:- Dental assisting
- Treatment coordination
- Dental insurance
- Insurance claims and follow-up
- Patient billing and collections
- Treatment plan presentation
- Eaglesoft experience is a bonus
- Front office dental procedures We would especially love to find someone who has both clinical dental assisting experience and front office/insurance knowledge.
