In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice committed to excellence. Office hours are M 7:30am~3-30pm, T 7:30am~3:30pm, W 8:30am~4pm, TH 7:30~11am. F Closed. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management protocols. Take digital dental X-ray images using dental x-ray machines while ensuring proper radiation safety measures. Manage patient records accurately, knowledge of Dentrix a plus. Document treatment details and medical documentation thoroughly. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Conduct vital signs assessments and review medical history to support comprehensive patient care. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proficiency with Dentrix software. Dental Experience Preferred, at least 1 year. Strong knowledge of dental terminology in general dentistry, mainly. Oral surgery, endodontics and prosthodontics a plus. Expertise in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control practices to ensure patient safety. Experience with dental equipment operation such as X-ray machines, and dental sterilization devices. Ability to perform dental x-ray imaging accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to uphold the highest hygiene standards in the clinic environment. Excellent patient management skills with a focus on providing compassionate care tailored to pediatric patients when necessary. Familiarity with dental coding and documentation practices for accurate billing and record keeping.
