Job Summary Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare. In this role, you will support the dentist during patient procedures, manage clinical operations, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting dedicated to excellence in general dentistry. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics and more. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use. Take dental X-rays while adhering to strict infection prevention management protocols. Manage electronic medical records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories and treatment plans. Implement healthcare infection prevention and control policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintaining clinical cleanliness according to infection control standards. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures. Help educate patients on oral health practices while demonstrating excellent communication skills using dental terminology that is clear and accessible. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred. Familiarity with dental assisting duties such as taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and supporting oral surgery or endodontic procedures is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy enhances your ability to assist effectively during complex procedures. Understanding infection prevention management practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques ensures compliance with health standards. Strong communication skills combined with a passion for general dentistry will help foster positive patient experiences.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
