Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Your main responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking patient vital signs, and assisting with dental procedures.
Duties:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
  • Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following proper infection control protocols
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort measures
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist
  • Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing and insurance claims
  • Assist with medical documentation and coding as required
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
  • Assist with patient assessment and triage as needed
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant required
  • X-rays proficient
  • Comfortable assisting with general dentistry procedures
  • Strong Work Ethic, Reliability, and positive Attitude
