This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to patient health and satisfaction. You will be the friendly face and efficient organizer that keeps our clinic running seamlessly, providing vital administrative and clinical support while maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing necessary tools. Review and update patient medical records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Meditech, Epic, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Handle medical billing and coding tasks including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and insurance verification to facilitate accurate claims processing through systems such as Athenahealth or Meditech. Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answer patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment scheduling efficiently. Perform administrative duties including filing, data entry, document review, and maintaining organized medical records in compliance with health information management standards. Support clinic operations by managing electronic health records (EHR), processing payments, collecting co-pays, and assisting with care plan documentation. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms; experience with Epic or Meditech is a plus. Familiarity with medical billing processes including insurance verification, Medicare claims, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and documentation review. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure patient privacy at all times. Prior clinic or medical office experience is preferred; dental clinic experience is highly advantageous. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor.
