The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, impressions, and assisting with endodontics and prosthodontics tasks. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure smooth workflow within the practice. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in pediatric dentistry settings. Utilize dental software systems, including Dentrix, for efficient record management. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and terminology is essential. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and coding is advantageous. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
