Job Description

Job Overview Endodontic Specialists of Columbus is a new private practice office seeking a Dental Assistant to add to our growing team! Endodontic experience is preferred, but not required. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8-4, and Friday 8-2. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation time, and scrub allowance. Pay will vary depending on experience. Interested? Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Indiana X-Ray License upon date of hire Dental Assistant Certification upon date of hire
BLS/CPR Certification Skills:
Possess solid technical skills Operate independently Demonstrate strong customer service Clear communication skills Maintain a high level of accuracy, even under pressure Engage professionally with patients and colleagues Manage multiple priorities efficiently Uphold a strong commitment to quality
Job Summary:
Ensure patients are escorted to treatment rooms promptly with proper patient handoff Provide chairside assistance during endodontic procedures, including instrument transfer, suction, and patient care Take and review patient x-rays; Record patient vital signs; Update patient medical/dental history; Educate patients on procedures and pre/post-op instructions Enter transactions and chart medical/dental histories, exam findings, and notes daily; Complete biopsy documentation when applicable Prepare and clean treatment rooms; sterilize instruments and maintain equipment Maintain the cleanliness of treatment areas and perform daily office duties such as waste removal and equipment shutdown Manage inventory and order supplies as needed Coordinate patient referrals and communicate with referring offices; support the front office with scheduling future appointments, and complete any outstanding treatment calls
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
