Responsibilities of an Orthodontic Assistant Demonstrates complete knowledge and understanding of precise products used for optimal results of orthodontic procedure Takes good patient records including impressions with minimal errors on a consistent basis Places brackets on teeth with supervision of Doctor or Senior Assistant verifying placement Fabricates clear / essix retainers Delivers functional appliances and places pontics as needed Demonstrates limited bond failures on a consistent basis Delivers aligners and attachments with minimal errors Identifies proper wire for specific needs of diverse patient population Demonstrates confident and professional communication with patients and or guardians regarding general orthodontic subjects on a consistent basis Maintains patient confidentiality and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Minimum qualifications Valid Indiana Radiology License. 2 years of Ortho assisting experience preferred Desire to work in a fast paced, focused environment.
