Paid Time Off Compensation:
Up to $25/HR based on experience About Us East Louisville Pediatric Dentistry is a new, family-owned pediatric dental practice founded by husband-and-wife pediatric dentists, Drs. Clay and Hannah Jackson. Our office is centered around one simple goal: creating a place where children feel comfortable, parents feel heard, and curating a team of people who desire to build something special. As we prepare to open our doors, we're looking for an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) who is kind, hardworking, dependable, and excited about helping us build an exceptional pediatric dental practice from the ground up. This isn't just an opportunity to join a dental office—you'll have the chance to help shape our systems, culture, and patient experience from day one. The Position We are looking for an experienced and motivated EDDA who loves working with children and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Our ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, stays organized, communicates well, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Because you'll be one of our first team members, we're especially interested in someone who is comfortable taking the lead and helping establish efficient clinical systems and workflows. There will also be an opportunity to grow into a clinical lead/lead dental assistant role as the practice grows. Responsibilities Assist our pediatric dentists with restorative and preventive procedures Perform expanded dental assisting duties within the scope permitted by Kentucky law Help children feel safe, comfortable, and confident during their dental visits Prepare and turn over treatment rooms efficiently Maintain sterilization and infection-control standards Take dental radiographs Maintain organized clinical supplies and inventory Help develop and improve clinical systems as our new practice grows Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and caregivers Work closely with the doctors and other team members to create an exceptional patient experience Be willing to pitch in wherever needed during the startup and growth of the practice Who We're Looking For We would love to meet someone who is: Kind, positive, and patient with children Hardworking and dependable A genuine team player Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable taking initiative without needing constant direction Excited about helping organize and establish a brand-new practice Professional while still knowing how to have fun with kids Interested in growing into a leadership role Committed to providing excellent patient and parent experiences Previous pediatric dental experience is strongly preferred. Expanded Duties Dental Assistant credentials/certification required as applicable, such as coronal polishing certificate.
