Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures. Operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while practicing safe lifting techniques. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to meet sanitation standards. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with janitorial expertise. Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, custodial equipment operation, and sanitation practices. Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while adhering to safety protocol guidelines. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with floor buffing, floor care techniques, and general facilities maintenance tasks. Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across all areas.
