Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring adherence to dental x-ray safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, recording vital signs, and verifying insurance information using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical documentation and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health. Support infection control standards by following strict dental sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean, safe environment for staff and patients. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing patient records efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy enhances your ability to assist effectively during complex procedures. Hands-on experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools is advantageous. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices ensures compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and aseptic techniques.
