Job Description
Dental Assistant - part time needed. Hours vary. Flexible. Tuesdays are a must. Willingness to float to front desk too. (no experience necessary for front) Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is mandatory Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Maintain aseptic technique throughout all dental procedures to ensure patient safety. Perform four-handed dentistry by anticipating the needs of the dentist during treatment. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols for medical imaging. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas. Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred. Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is a plus. Strong understanding of medical documentation practices. Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
