Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time or Full-Time Dental Assistant, M, and embark on an exciting career opportunity! Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care, post-operative instructions, and dental terminology to promote optimal patient care and understanding. Perform dental instrument processing, including sterilization and inventory management of dental equipment to maintain clinical efficiency. Support front desk operations by handling patient management software tasks, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting with general dental receptionist duties. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate eager to learn. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft enhances workflow efficiency. Knowledge of infection control protocols, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Understanding of dental terminology related to general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging technology including 3D scanners, and dental equipment operation will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to manage medical documentation accurately are crucial for success in this role. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is a plus but not mandatory; ongoing training will be supported for professional development. Pay:
