Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our practice. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with dentists and patients, ensuring smooth procedures and a welcoming environment. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient management, and infection control will help us maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures such as general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using Dentrix Ascend, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, materials, and equipment during procedures while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient care before, during, and after treatments to ensure comfort and safety. Support the dental reception team by managing patient check-in/out processes, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and handling medical documentation with professionalism. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency in using EMR systems. Strong understanding of infection control practices including sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. Knowledge of anatomy related to oral structures and proficiency in taking accurate dental X-rays and medical imaging. Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing education in endodontics or prosthodontics is a plus. Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 per week
