Peak Partners has a client, a busy boutique Real Estate law firm, looking for an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal. The successful candidate will have seven or more years of experience with managing workflow, supporting sophisticated commercial real estate transactions including drafting banking and commercial finance documents as well as handling corporate and business matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial real estate and finance matters from intake through closing and post-closing; maintain checklists, deadlines, deliverables, and organized files. Draft, revise, review, and proofread purchase agreements, leases, amendments, assignments, estoppels, deeds, affidavits, escrow agreements, and closing or recording documents. Coordinate title, survey, zoning, lien, entity, insurance, and property due diligence; identify missing items and issues requiring attorney attention. Draft commercial loan documents, including notes, deeds of trust, mortgages, guarantees, assignments, indemnities, security agreements, resolutions, and closing certificates. Support lender and borrower-side transactions; coordinate signatures, funding, recording, delivery, post-closing requirements, and electronic closing binders. Prepare formation, governance, authority, registration, amendment, and good-standing documents for business entities. Communicate proactively with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, surveyors, government offices, and opposing counsel. Improve templates, checklists, workflows, and quality controls; mentor junior or administrative staff when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Seven or more years of substantive transactional paralegal experience in a law firm or a busy In-house legal department. Hands-on commercial real estate experience and demonstrated ability to draft loan documents, leases, real estate contracts, entity documents, and corporate records. Strong knowledge of transaction workflows, due diligence, closings, recording, and post-closing requirements. Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, organization, discretion, and ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication, judgment, professionalism, and client-service skills; proficiency with Microsoft 365, PDF, e-signature, document-management, and cloud-storage tools. Reliable ability to commute to Clarksville. A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate, familiarity with Maryland transactions, and complex closing experience are preferred.
