Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient appointments. Take X-rays while adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection prevention management policies. Manage patient records using Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain strict infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines. Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools while ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed. Collaborate effectively with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant for a minimum of 1 year. Proficiency with Dentrix for managing dental documentation and records. Knowledge of dental terminology and various dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of healthcare infection control policies and clinical confidentiality regulations (HIPAA compliance). Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and administrative support duties. Certification in radiography is preferred.
