Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of general dentistry procedures Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Collect vital signs and medical history information in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining organized medical documentation. Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment using aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures aligned with infection control standards. Assist with dental instrument processing to ensure all tools are properly cleaned, disinfected, and stored for safe reuse. Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures involving complex dental equipment like the intraoral camera or digital scanners.

Experience Must have:

X-ray certification Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties such as oral surgery or endodontics. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Familiarity with medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging tools including 3D scanners, and dental sterilization procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in aseptic technique and infection prevention management. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with patients, dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices combined with a strong commitment to patient safety.
