Job Description

Attention to detail is important, please read this job post in its entirety to learn how to apply. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. This role involves ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, great hand-eye coordination, high attention to detail, and a desire for excellence in everything they do.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and occasional
Fridays Locations:
Alma, Mt. Pleasant, Freeland (coming soon!)
Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic procedures in a friendly, professional manner. Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments by handing instruments, taking notes, and ensuring patient comfort. Take X-rays, intraoral scans, and photographs as needed. Place and remove orthodontic appliances, separators, and arch wires under the orthodontist's supervision. Perform adjustments, reties, and other delegated clinical tasks in compliance with state regulations. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in orthodontic software. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, appliance care, and treatment expectations. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas. Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
