Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental x-rays using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records efficiently ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Educate patients on post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding. Maintain infection control standards through proper dental instrument processing, aseptic technique, and adherence to healthcare infection prevention protocols. Assist with dental equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of all clinical tools including dental x-ray machines. Uphold professional standards by following clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient care in a pediatric dentistry or general dentistry setting.
