Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic, motivated Oral Surgery Assistant to join a brand-new oral surgery practice being built from the ground up . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team from day one, help shape the culture and workflow of the practice, and grow alongside it as we expand. This is a fast-paced, hands-on environment involving oral surgery, IV sedation, anesthesia, surgical procedures, and comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, eager to learn, and excited to take on responsibility in a growing practice. There will be significant opportunity for growth as the practice develops, with the potential to take on additional responsibilities and advance within the team. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, medications, and equipment for surgical procedures and sedation. Provide chairside assistance during extractions, implant procedures, biopsies, and other oral surgery procedures. Assist with IV sedation and anesthesia procedures, including monitoring and recording vital signs. Obtain and prepare radiographs/CBCT imaging as needed. Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection-control and aseptic protocols. Prepare patients for surgery and provide clear, compassionate post-operative instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Keep the clinical environment clean, organized, and efficient. Help ensure the day runs smoothly and efficiently from patient check-in through discharge. Assist with front-office responsibilities when needed. What We're Looking For Someone with a pleasant personality who is willing to learn. Previous dental assisting or surgical assisting experience preferred. Oral surgery, sedation, or anesthesia experience is a strong plus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Professional, positive, and compassionate with patients. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy, sterilization, and infection control. Pay:
$25.00 - $34.00 per hour
