Job Description

We are a brand new, modern, private, general dental practice located in Waterford, MI, looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. We strive to provide a fun, relaxed and positive work environment for all of our employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in chairside assisting, sterilization, and other dental procedures. The successful candidate will also be able to assist the dentist with patient education, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure that all patient records are up to date. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills Our office is open
Tuesday-Friday Tuesday:
9-5pm
Wednesday:
10-7pm
Thursday:
9-6pm
Friday:
9-3pm
Responsibilities:
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene. Maintain patient records and charts. Take dental x-rays. Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and ordering supplies.
Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Intra Oral Scans
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Perform patient assessments and record medical histories
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic medical record systems (such a Open Dental
  • Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
  • Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring models and trimming custom trays
  • Assist with front office tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and billing.
Compensation is based on experience.
