Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our family owned practice. We have several general dentists and an orthodontist and periodontist on our team. We are a very friendly office with long time patients and looking for someone who is interested in being part of our friendly dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures and excellent patient care skills in general dentistry, This role offers an engaging environment where you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dental care while ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures by providing chairside support, handling dental instruments, and managing patient comfort. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment. Collaborate with the dental team on four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting tasks is helpful. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality. Experience performing X-ray procedures, including 3D scans and medical imaging techniques, is highly desirable.. Understanding of dental terminology, and documentation practices related to dental procedures is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
