Certification HIPAA Full Job Description Full-Time Dental Assistant — Private General Practice (Mendota Heights, MN) No Fridays, no weekend hours Clinic schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 am-4:30 pm We are a general dentistry practice in Mendota Heights seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our friendly, patient-focused team full-time. About the Role We're looking for someone who enjoys working with patients and providing high-quality chairside support in a general practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental experience. We use Open Dental software and Dexis radiographs. New grads are welcome to apply. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and set up/sterilize instruments, following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Assist the dentist during procedures (four-handed dentistry) Primarily restorative treatment; no endodontics See children for recall care, within scope (coronal polishing, fluoride varnish, etc.) Some assisted hygiene for adult patients (polish, floss, radiographs) Take digital x-rays (BWX, PA, panoramic) as prescribed by dentist Take alginate impressions, make temporary crowns, fabricate bleach trays/retainers/athletic guards Educate patients on post-op care and oral hygiene as needed Assist with maintaining accurate patient records Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations Assist with managing inventory Qualifications Active Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential in Minnesota, from an accredited program Current CPR certification at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level Prior chairside experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Reliable and punctual Schedule Clinic schedule: 7:45 am - 4:30 pm Pay & Benefits $33-39/hour, based on experience and skill set Medical insurance coverage Paid Time Off / MN ESST (Sick and Safe Time) Paid Holidays Free dental care for you and spouse/minor dependents Continuing education fees covered Uniform/scrubs allowance Botox at cost Retirement savings program To Apply Apply through Indeed and we'll follow up, or email resume directly to
