In this role, you will be responsible for operating punch press machines to shape and cut metal components according to precise specifications. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the production of high-quality metal parts through accurate machine setup, operation, and inspection. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various machining tools, and a commitment to safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Set up and operate punch press machines, including stamping presses and forming machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety protocols are followed. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards. Utilize measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools for quality control and measurement verification. Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize performance. Ensure compliance with safety standards in production by adhering to safety protocols and operating crane or hand tools safely. Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measurement techniques; document inspection results for quality assurance. Assist with metal fabrication tasks such as welding, forming, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes. Maintain a clean work environment while managing tooling setup and changeovers efficiently. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality output. Experience Proven experience operating punch press machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machining tools, tooling setup, and machine operation. Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurement and quality control. Experience with safety standards relevant to manufacturing environments including crane operation when applicable. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurements and calculations during production processes. Prior experience in welding, forming operations, sheet metal fabrication, or assembly is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes combined with mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively. #nowhiring
