As a Dental Assistant, you'll be the right-hand superhero to our dentists and dental hygienists, making every patient's visit a breeze. From prepping treatment areas to educating patients on oral hygiene, your role is vital in ensuring everyone leaves with a bright smile.
Essential Duties:
Assist patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering questions, and providing directions as authorized by the dentist Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing and setting up for procedures Maintain equipment and operatories in compliance with infection control protocols Manage operatory supplies and assist with inventory control Provide patient education (post-op instructions, consent forms, oral hygiene basics) Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure proper handoffs to administrative team Make post-op follow-up calls for patients after major procedures Seat and prepare hygiene patients, including updating medical histories and taking vitals as needed Take diagnostic X-rays for hygiene exams Assist hygienists with perio charting and documentation Set up and break down hygiene operatories efficiently between patients Ensure hygiene rooms are fully stocked and ready for each appointment Support hygienists with patient flow to help them stay on schedule Provide oral hygiene instruction and reinforce home care recommendations Assist with sterilization and instrument turnover specific to hygiene Help identify and communicate treatment needs to the doctor and front office What You Need to
Succeed:
High School Diploma or equivalent X-Ray Certification, experience needed. Current CPR certification
