Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software such as Dentrix. Perform infection control procedures in accordance with established protocols, including aseptic techniques. Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must. Proficiency with general dentistry practices and procedures is essential. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques is highly valued. Experience with medical records management is beneficial. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
