Job Description

Job Summary Harrison Dental Arts is currently hiring a qualified Dental Assistant to join our general dentistry team. Our practice is committed to excellence in high-quality, comprehensive patient care. This role offers excellent clinical variety, allowing you to assist with a wide range of daily procedures while working hand-in-hand with our dentist to elevate the patient experience. Duties Clinical Assistance:
Assist the dentist efficiently during a wide variety of general dentistry procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and preventative treatments.
Patient Care:
Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable, informed, and at ease throughout their visit.
Operatory Management:
Prepare, breakdown, and thoroughly sterilize treatment rooms and dental instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Radiography:
Take high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images as directed by the dentist.
Team Collaboration:
Partner with the front office and hygiene teams to maintain a smooth daily schedule and efficient patient flow.
Documentation:
Accurately update patient charts, treatment notes, and post-operative instructions in the electronic dental record system.
Requirements Experience:
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or within a similar clinical dental setting.
Knowledge Base:
Strong foundational knowledge of standard dental terminology and modern clinic equipment.
Clinical Proficiency:
Skilled in essential assisting techniques, including comprehensive chairside support, four-handed dentistry, and digital X-ray procedures.
Infection Control:
Deep understanding of healthcare infection control standards and rigorous sterilization prevention management.
Technical Skills:
Ability to accurately measure patient vital signs, handle medical imaging, and execute proper dental instrument processing.
Compliance:
Strict adherence to patient privacy laws, maintaining full compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare confidentiality protocols.
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively and warmly with patients of all ages.
