September 2026 Dental AssistantJob Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The Dental Assistant will play an important role in supporting the dentist and clinical team while providing an exceptional, comfortable, and professional patient experience. This position will assist with a variety of dental procedures, treatment room preparation, sterilization and infection control, patient preparation, radiographs, and clinical documentation. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with a variety of dental procedures while utilizing effective four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and organize treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials prior to patient appointments. Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, review medical histories, obtain necessary information, and ensure patient comfort. Take accurate, high-quality dental radiographs while following appropriate radiation safety protocols. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and reinforce proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards. Maintain accurate patient charts, treatment notes, and clinical documentation using EMR and dental practice management systems. Assist with impressions, temporary restorations, laboratory cases, and other clinical procedures as directed by the dentist. Monitor dental supply inventory and assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies. Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Provide front office support when needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient check-in and check-out. Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienists, and administrative team to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive patient experience. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Dental Assistant certification, when required by applicable state regulations, is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, infection control, sterilization, and chairside assisting techniques. Experience obtaining dental radiographs and understanding radiation safety procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software and EMR systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental and administrative team. Dependable, professional, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a busy clinical environment.
