Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant , where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practitioners. In this vital role, you will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials. Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care planning while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental wellness. Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing patient management software for efficient workflow. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for medical documentation and records management. Certification or training in dental assisting, including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools with precision. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention protocols, aseptic technique, and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
