Orthodontic Records & Treatment Coordinator Assistant Grace Orthdodontics Fort Lee, NJ Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Photography Care documentation Experience working with children Attention to detail Patient interaction Full Job Description Grace Orthodontics - Fort Lee, NJ Grace Orthodontics is looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Orthodontic Records & Treatment Coordinator Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a dental assistant who enjoys working with patients and would like to become more involved in the new-patient consultation and treatment-planning process. A major focus of this position will be preparing patients for their orthodontic consultation by obtaining complete, accurate diagnostic records and helping ensure the doctor and treatment team have everything needed for a smooth consultation.
Primary responsibilities include:
Taking high-quality orthodontic records for new and existing patients Intraoral and extraoral photographs Digital impressions/intraoral scans Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays Proper patient positioning and consistent record quality Preparing and organizing records for the orthodontist's review Reviewing the patient's chart and understanding the reason for the consultation Assisting the doctor during new-patient consultations as needed Helping patients and parents understand the general flow of the consultation and next steps Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Sterilization, operatory preparation, and basic orthodontic assisting when needed Communicating effectively with the front desk, clinical team, and treatment coordinator We are looking for someone who: Has dental assisting experience; orthodontic experience is strongly preferred Is comfortable taking panoramic and cephalometric X-rays Has experience with intraoral scanning and orthodontic photography, or is willing to learn Pays close attention to detail and can consistently produce high-quality records Is warm and confident when communicating with children, teens, adults, and parents Is comfortable with technology and learning new systems Understands that excellent records are an important part of diagnosis and treatment planning Is dependable, organized, proactive, and works well in a team environment This is a great opportunity for a dental assistant who wants to grow beyond traditional chairside assisting and gain experience with new-patient consultations and treatment coordination . Orthodontic experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong dental assisting foundation and an eagerness to learn.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
