Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support our orthodontist - Dr. Patel in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient orthodontic treatments, from initial consultations to ongoing adjustments, while adhering to the highest standards of clinical confidentiality and infection control. Responsibilities Assist orthodontist during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments, ensuring compliance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take digital dental x-rays, including 3D scans, diagnostic photographs and impressions when needed. Manage patient records using our practice management software maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices to promote optimal treatment outcomes. Process dental instruments efficiently through sterilization procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly for clinical use. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient flow. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in medical documentation related to patient health history or treatment plans.
