Job Overview Monday - Wednesday + every other Thursday Dental Assisting experience We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to support various dental procedures and maintain a welcoming environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow, acting as a liaison between the dentist and patients. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas. Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety during procedures. Assist with administrative tasks such as medical coding and managing insurance claims when required. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and prosthodontics is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is an advantage. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred. Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
