Dental Assistant with active x-ray license to work one day per week in General Dentistry Office. Tuesday or Thursday. Possible future additional hours/days. Primary role is to assist chairside with providing support for dental procedures including the latest technology in single visit crowns. Additional duties include preparation and disinfection of treatment areas, sterilization of instruments, EHR, follow HIPAA regulations, and compliance with all safety and infection control protocols. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for scheduled procedures in general dentistry. Learn the latest single visit crown technology. Assist solo dentist during various treatments in general dentistry including recall visits, operative dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Take digital X-rays and operate imaging equipment ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Manage patient records using EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic techniques, vital signs measurement, and maintaining infection control standards. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices using appropriate dental terminology. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating dental documentation Housekeeping duties as needed for daily operations Experience Experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Experience operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, and digital technology systems. Proficiency with EHR systems is preferred. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to dental/medical records and documentation standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively to enable the use of four-handed dentistry techniques.

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
