Dental Assistant Luna Dental Astoria, NY Job Details Full-time From $24 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Dental terminology Dental x-ray Patient care Open Dental Full Job Description We are a modern dental office in the heart of Astoria looking for a dental assistant with a positive, can-do attitude, and excellent communication/people skills. The candidate must have an understanding of dental terminology and a minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant to be considered. Knowledge of Open Dental & Spanish speaking is a plus. 3-4 days a week. Required days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Other days negotiable. First patient seen at 11am. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Taking digital x-rays
  • Set-up and breakdown of operatories
  • Assisting the dentist during procedures
  • Ensuring patients receive consent forms prior to start of treatment
  • Instructing patients on oral care & post op instructions
  • Maintaining patient records, updating charts, and taking notes on patient treatment
  • Disinfecting treatment areas and exam rooms after each patient to ensure a safe and healthy environment for both our patients and staff
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office
  • Ordering supplies as needed
