In this role, you will support the pediatric dentists in delivering exceptional oral healthcare. Duties Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, X-ray imaging, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management protocols Take dental xrays using advanced imaging technology and dental X-ray machines, adhering to all safety standards Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, managing behavioral challenges, and supporting parents throughout the visits Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments with proper sterilization procedures and adhering to infection control standards Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist role in mind Requirements Prior experience working in a dental setting, preferably with pediatric patients and general dentistry procedures is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and infection prevention management is a plus Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety Excellent communication skills to effectively manage patient care and collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and healthcare professionals Certification in dental assisting or related healthcare fields is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for motivated candidates Join us as a Pediatric Dental Assistant where your enthusiasm for children's health will make a meaningful difference.
