Job Description
Dental Assistant At Vestal Dental Associates, we believe exceptional patient care begins with an exceptional team. For more than 70 years, our privately owned practice has earned the trust of our community by building lasting relationships, putting patients first, and delivering uncompromising quality dentistry. We're seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and skilled Dental Assistant who is looking for more than just another chairside position. This is an opportunity to expand your skills, work alongside multiple doctors, and become an integral part of a collaborative team committed to clinical excellence and an exceptional patient experience. What makes our practice different? Work alongside multiple doctors and assist with a broad range of procedures, including many advanced treatments not typically found in a traditional general practice. Gain hands-on experience with advanced technology, including digital impression scanning, in-office CAD/CAM milling for same-day porcelain restorations, cone beam CT imaging, digital implant planning, guided implant surgery, and modern restorative workflows. Be involved in a diverse range of advanced clinical procedures, including implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, and other surgical procedures using the latest materials and techniques. Each Assistant has a dedicated treatment room and schedule designed to provide the time and support needed to deliver exceptional dentistry—not rushed, volume-driven care. Opportunities to utilize the full scope of your certification and responsibilities, with a level of clinical involvement beyond what many dental assisting positions offer. On-the-job training, mentorship, and continual opportunities for professional growth. A collaborative, team-first culture where everyone contributes to shared success. Performance bonuses based on the success of the practice as a whole—not individual competition. Responsibilities Assist doctors during a wide variety of dental procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for clinical procedures. Educate patients and answer questions with professionalism and compassion. Perform laboratory tasks and maintain infection control and sterilization protocols. Maintain accurate clinical records and assist with scheduling as needed. Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is advantageous but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technology. Please include any relevant certifications and dental or medical experience with your resume. Schedule Full-time (approximately 32-38 hours per week) Monday through Friday Compensation & Benefits We offer competitive compensation based on experience, along with paid selected holidays and personal time, dental benefits, employer retirement plan contributions, performance bonuses, and opportunities for continued professional growth. If you're looking for a practice where you'll be challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow—while helping deliver exceptional dentistry alongside an outstanding team—we'd love to hear from you! Please submit your resume along with any relevant certifications and professional experience.
