You can help directly change patients' live as a dental assistant at Dental Artistry Implants Crowns Veneers. We are looking for someone who has compassion, integrity, and understands excellence in service. As a comprehensive dental clinic, we focus on improving people's oral health via life changing procedures. These can often be emotional, expensive and scary for people, which is why this position is pivotal, as you will be directly assisting in patient care. We are a high-end dental practice with a fee schedule that is on average 40% below Usual and Customary Fees for Bend, Oregon. We offer Complimentary Full Oral Evaluations with 3D Imaging for all new patients. This position is vital to providing a streamlined environment for the dentists to help achieve our goal of providing life changing care for our patients. We are seeking an intelligent, enthusiastic individual who is detail oriented, who is able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct patient care and able to present and educate our patients on treatment plans. Eaglesoft software knowledge is a plus. We perform many disciplines of dentistry and are happy to train assistants to be the best they can be in any new discipline. There is a heavy surgical concentration to include surgical extractions, bone grafting, utilization of biologics such as PRF, Membranes, tissue grafting, implant placement for full mouth rehabilitation cases. Being comfortable with surgery is a must. Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Present and educate patients on treatment plans Maintain accurate patient records and note-keeping/consent forms Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Preferred but not required Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA, phlebotomy, lab technician, CEREC experience) This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
