Job Description
Join Gentle Dental as a Traveling Dental Assistant supporting specialty providers across our regional practices. In this field-based role, you'll travel between modern clinics to deliver chairside assistance for endodontic, periodontal, oral surgery, and other specialty procedures. Responsibilities include preparing operatories, sterilizing instruments, taking digital X-rays, and maintaining accurate clinical records. You'll educate patients, support smooth patient flow, and collaborate closely with dentists and clinical teams within a patient-centered, ethical, and team-oriented culture that offers training, growth, and stable schedules. Responsibilities Travel between assigned Gentle Dental locations to support specialty providers Provide chairside assistance for specialty procedures (e.g., endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery) Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials following infection control protocols Obtain and process digital radiographs and maintain accurate patient records Educate patients on treatment procedures, post-op care, and oral hygiene Support charting, treatment documentation, and coordination of patient flow Maintain equipment, sterilization systems, and clinical supply levels Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and front office teams to ensure excellent patient experience Required Skills Chairside assisting for specialty procedures Dental radiography/digital X-rays Infection control and sterilization Dental instrumentation and tray setup Electronic dental records/charting Patient education and communication Four-handed dentistry Dental terminology and coding basics Travel and schedule flexibility Equipment maintenance and operatory preparation
