We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior/Lead Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced dental assistant to assume a leadership role within a high-quality, fee-for-service practice and become an integral part of our team. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and passionate about dentistry. You will work closely with the dentist and clinical team on advanced restorative and esthetic cases while taking ownership of daily assisting operations, digital technologies, laboratory coordination, and dental appliance fabrication. This position is well suited for an EFDA who values quality over quantity, takes pride in precision, enjoys complex cases, and is looking for a long-term professional opportunity in a sophisticated clinical environment . Responsibilities Manage the dental assisting clinical operations on a daily basis, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to clinical protocols. Perform advanced chair side assisting and delegated clinical duties. Fabricate high-quality provisional restorations with precision, accuracy, and attention to detail. Capture accurate radiographic images, dental photography, and CBCT scans in accordance with clinical and imaging protocols. Oversee and operate digital dental technologies, including intra oral scanners, 3D printers, and CBCT equipment. Maintain accurate and complete patient records using dental practice management and clinical software. Serve as Lab Supervisor, overseeing incoming and outgoing laboratory cases and ensuring accurate case tracking and timely communication. Fabricate retainers, occlusal guards, bleaching trays, custom trays, and other applicable dental appliances. Manage dental supply inventory, including monitoring stock levels, anticipating clinical needs, placing orders, and maintaining appropriate inventory. Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control and OSHA standards. Coordinate the repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of dental equipment. Maintain an organized, efficient, and well-equipped clinical environment. Help establish and maintain high standards for clinical efficiency, organization, infection control, and patient experience. Qualifications Current PA state EFDA license. Current CPR/BLS certification. 2+ years of EFDA experience strongly preferred . Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, materials, and clinical protocols. Experience with digital dentistry, including intra oral scanning, CBCT, 3D printing, and digital photography. Experience with provisional fabrication and dental appliance fabrication. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. A genuine interest in advanced restorative and esthetic dentistry.
