We are a growing pediatric dental office committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and their families. Our practices focus on creating a positive, fun, and safe environment while delivering exceptional clinical care. Position Overview The Pediatric Dental Assistant supports the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring an efficient and comfortable experience for children and their families. This role requires a friendly, energetic, and patient-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced pediatric environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care Take and record dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with state regulations Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed Comfort and guide pediatric patients, creating a positive experience Provide chairside assistance including suctioning, instrument transfer, and charting Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Support office flow by preparing rooms and turning over operatories efficiently Assist with inventory management and stocking of clinical supplies Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies and procedures Qualifications Prior dental assisting experience preferred (pediatric experience a plus) Dental Assistant certification as required by state X-ray certification (if applicable by state) CPR/BLS certification preferred Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment What We're Looking For Passion for working with children Positive, upbeat, and patient demeanor Strong attention to detail and organization Team player with a willingness to learn and grow Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic clinical setting We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
