Job Description

Responsibilities Assist doctors during restorative, crown, endodontic, and other dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are ready Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral images as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked operatory Provide patients with a warm, comfortable, and positive experience throughout their visit Take accurate clinical notes and assist with maintaining complete patient records Sterilize and properly maintain instruments and equipment according to OSHA and infection-control standards Assist with lab cases, impressions, scans, temporary restorations, and other clinical procedures Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and communicate when supplies need to be ordered Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and the administrative team to ensure efficient patient flow Help keep the schedule running smoothly and anticipate the doctor's needs Educate patients on post-operative instructions and reinforce recommended home care Maintain a high standard of infection control and office cleanliness Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented office culture Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within a dental clinic environment. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records efficiently. Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various dental specialties such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide patient care that is respectful, clear, and empathetic. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred; additional certifications in radiography or infection control are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal efficiency. Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.0 - 37.0 per week
